Mat Party&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

	&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; a social design game for collectivity.

“Equal Society”, Dutch Design Week ‘25
Mat Party is a participatory game of social design that uses movement to explore collective intimacy in public space. It invites participants to take up space together through a shifting choreography of pronouns: me, you, we, they. Participants follow action prompts that engage interlockable mat panels as extensions of their bodies and tools for sculpting the space surrounding them.Designed by:

Exhibited at Design Perron

The game celebrates everyday gestures and the ephemeral intimacy of bodily gatherings. Participants are encouraged to watch and listen physically, to respond to one another with curiosity and presence. In this way, Mat Party becomes a living structure, a social fabric or “mat” woven moment by moment through motion, proximity, and play.

Palimpsest Shenzen

“Eyes of the City”, SHENZHEN BI-CITY BIENNALE OF URBANISM / ARCHITECTURE 2019
Urban crowds in train stations are mostly passersby, engaging in small transactions while focusing on getting from point A to B. Amid this movement and flow an ad-hoc collective emerges, one that becomes a representative microcosm of city-dwellers.
Palimpsest Shenzhen uses the connectivity of the Futian Station and the international audience of the biennale to create a participatory design process for realizing architecture in cities.<img width="6000" height="4000" width_o="6000" height_o="4000" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/ae300c98cc2a28031f9b78a470eaa9cf6fd68587b604a82653c8bc747b31db8b/003--Dalila-Tondo1.jpg" data-mid="239297486" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/ae300c98cc2a28031f9b78a470eaa9cf6fd68587b604a82653c8bc747b31db8b/003--Dalila-Tondo1.jpg" />© Dalila Tondo

	“Water Parliaments: Projective Ecosocial Architectures”
VENICE ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE 2025

After Bath reimagines the Turkish bath through an intersectional feminist lens as a space of solidarity, liberating it from its patriarchal urban context. Inverted and leaked into Istanbul’s public water infrastructure, it creates dispersed, immersive structures of fountains, pools, mist, and shade that create breathing rooms for marginalized bodies in the city. Framing access to water and shade as urban rights, it proposes affective architectures for collective care and intimacy.Published in Atlas of Water Architectures

	PALIMPSEST SHENZHEN&nbsp;

SHENZHEN BI-CITY BIENNALE OF URBANISM / ARCHITECTURE, 2019
INSTALLATION, URBANISM
	In Palimpsest Shenzhen, a long, table-like model is suspended in the air, depicting prototypical urban conditions in the city. Starting at the scale of the dining table, we invite visitors to imagine and rewrite the city’s communal spaces together. Using the prepared postcards, visitors are encouraged to explain or draw their aspirations for urban life in Shenzhen. Each postcard represents a citizen’s voice, heard from the bottom-up.&nbsp;Hanging on the table in different compositions,
the city becomes inscribed by the inhabitant’s ideas: a
palimpsest.

The installation is a ‘specter’ that draws visitors into a multisensory path hosting a spectrum of sound and light. Layered compositions of audio fragments create a syncopated rhythm, layered and moving hues of light become visual cues for various levels of listening and audiovisual perception. Pockets within the membrane create moments of pause; syncopation through modulated drops of sound and light finds its embodiment in this shell of delightful effects, inviting visitors to take a rest from everyday life, into a space of contemplation and creative energy, of specters and spectra.
Specter Spectra was exhibited at GSD’s Kirkland Gallery in 2021.

	FUTURE OF CHILDHOOD

VENICE ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE 2018, PAVILION OF TURKEY
INSTALLATION, ARCHITECTURE

 "Future of Childhood" imagined the experience for cities from
the point of view of a child, taking on a speculative and
futuristic perspective. Where do we see the child of the future?
What does its surroundings look like? What does the child
play? Inspired by Georges Perec's book "I Remember", we
wrote our own "I remember" sentences from our childhood. As
we heard each other's childhood memories, as Plato said, "we
remembered as we learned."

We conducted workshops and discussions with Lilet Breddels
(Archis), Arjen Oosterman (Archis), Banu Çiçek Tülü, Pedro
Rivera, Serena Girani (ARUP), and Segolene Pruvot (European
Alternatives). The exploration culminated in a series of short
animations, exhibited in the Biennale space.

Exhibition was developed in collaboration with European Alternatives at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2018.
